Welcome Sylvie Veilleux, Chief Information Officer

Sylvie Veilleux is joining Dropbox as our first Chief Information Officer. Sylvie has more than 20 years of experience as a technologist and corporate leader in rapidly changing organizations. She joins us from Mozilla, where she was the VP of Enterprise IT and Security. Sylvie has also held technical leadership roles at Salesforce, Apple, Oracle, and Franklin Templeton Investments.

Sylvie will lead teams responsible for the technologies we use to run our growing global business as well as focus on how we expand the scope and scale of our technical services for the coming decade. 

Throughout her career, Sylvie has demonstrated her commitment to increasing the diversity of the next generation of IT professionals. She’s on the California Regional Advisory Board for NPower, a nonprofit that provides free technical training, internships, and placement for military veterans and young adults from underserved communities. Most recently she was awarded the 2017 Distinguished Chief Information Technology Officer Award by the California Diversity Council.

Sylvie is originally from Quebec, and is an avid motorcyclist and animal lover. We’re excited to see her transform the ways we use technology to build great products and strengthen our business.
